First Things First...
Congratulations, Senior!
You made it.
Somehow you survived early mornings, late-night assignments, group projects, awkward school photos, standardized tests, and at least one class that made you question all your life choices.
Now it's time to celebrate.
Your senior session isn't about stiff poses or pretending to be someone you're not. It's about capturing who you are during this exciting, weird, emotional, and unforgettable season of life.
Whether you're headed to college, the military, trade school, a gap year, the workforce, or still figuring things out, this session is about celebrating YOUR story.
And don't worry...
You do NOT need to know how to pose.
You do NOT need modeling experience.
You do NOT need to know what to do with your hands.
I've got you.
WHAT KIND OF SESSION DO YOU WANT?
Think about your session like creating your own movie poster.
What do you want people to remember about this chapter of your life?
Maybe you're:
🏔️ The outdoor adventurer 🎭 The performer ⚽ The athlete 🎨 The artist 🎵 The musician 📚 The book lover 🚗 The car enthusiast 🎮 The gamer 🐕 The animal lover 🎣 The fisherman 🌈 The creative soul
✨ The "I have absolutely no idea what my vibe is" senior
All of those are valid answers.
Your session should reflect YOU.
PICKING YOUR LOCATIONS
Locations help tell your story.
Here are some ideas:
Adventure Vibes
• Beaches
• Forest trails
• Mountain overlooks
• Waterfalls
• Glacier views
• Docks and waterfronts
Downtown Vibes
• Murals
• Historic buildings
• Urban streets
• Coffee shops
• Bookstores
• Alleyways with character
Personal Places
• Your school
• Sports field
• Dance studio
• Theater
• Family property
• Favorite hangout spot
• Somewhere you've always loved
Don't know where to go?
No problem.
I have plenty of location suggestions and can help choose locations based on your style.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
The most important rule:
Wear something that feels like YOU.
If you hate wearing dress clothes, don't force yourself into an outfit you'll spend the entire session adjusting.
If you love dressing up, go all out.
If you practically live in flannels, boots, hoodies, overalls, sneakers, leather jackets, or band tees, let's make that part of your story.
The goal is confidence, not discomfort.
OUTFIT TIPS
Great Choices
✔ Solid colors ✔ Layers ✔ Textures ✔ Clothes that fit well ✔ Outfits you actually like wearing ✔ Pieces that reflect your personality
Things That Can Be Tricky
✘ Large logos ✘ Super busy patterns ✘ Neon colors ✘ Clothes that constantly need adjusting
✘ Brand-new shoes you'll regret after five minutes
BRING OPTIONS
If your package includes outfit changes, bring a variety of looks.
Ideas:
• Casual • Dressy • Professional • Athletic • Creative • School colors
• Future college gear
Having choices gives us flexibility and variety.
BRING THE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU YOU
This is where sessions get really fun.
Bring things that represent your interests, accomplishments, or personality.
Ideas include:
🏀 Sports equipment 🎭 Theater props 🎵 Instruments 🎨 Art supplies 📚 Books
🎣 Fishing gear 🏹 Outdoor equipment 🎓 Cap and gown 🚗 Vehicle 🐕 Pet
🌈 Pride accessories 🏆 Awards or achievements 🎮 Gaming accessories
☕ Favorite coffee cup
Or literally anything else that's meaningful to you.
If you're unsure whether something would work, ask!
HAIR, MAKEUP & GROOMING
Do whatever makes you feel your best.
Whether that's:
• Full glam
• Natural makeup
• No makeup
• Fresh haircut
• Fresh shave
• Colored hair
• Natural hair
The goal isn't to look like someone else. The goal is to look like the best version of yourself.
One recommendation:
Avoid making major appearance changes the day before your session. The "I thought it would be a good idea at the time" haircut rarely works out.
BRING THESE THINGS
✔ Water ✔ Extra outfits ✔ Comfortable walking shoes ✔ Hairbrush or comb
✔ Touch-up products ✔ Jacket or layers ✔ Props ✔ Good attitude
Especially the last one.
WHAT IF I'M AWKWARD?
Excellent.
Most people think they're awkward.
Most people tell me:
"I have no idea what I'm doing."
"I hate having my picture taken."
"I'm not photogenic."
Here's the secret:
You don't need to know what you're doing.
That's my job.
I'll guide you through prompts, movement, and natural interactions that help create images that feel genuine instead of forced.
The best photos usually happen in between the poses anyway.
WEATHER HAPPENS
This is Alaska. We all know the weather has its own personality.Clouds are beautiful for photos. Light rain can create incredible images. If conditions become unsafe or miserable, we'll discuss rescheduling. Otherwise, embrace the adventure. Some of the best photos happen when things don't go exactly as planned.
IMPORTANT TIMING INFORMATION
Please arrive ready to begin at your scheduled start time.
If your package includes multiple locations, travel time between locations is included within your session coverage.
For example:
If you book a 2-hour session with two locations and it takes 15 minutes to drive between them, that travel time is included within your 2-hour session.
Arriving prepared and on time helps us maximize the amount of time spent creating amazing images.
CAN MY FAMILY COME?
Absolutely.
Parents are always welcome.
Friends, siblings, partners, and pets may be included in a few photos if discussed before your session.
Just let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
Once your images are edited, you'll receive an online gallery where you can:
• Download your images
• Share your gallery
• Order professional prints and products
• Relive your senior year for years to come
ONE LAST THING...
This session is not about being perfect.
It's not about having the perfect outfit, perfect smile, perfect hair, or perfect pose.
It's about capturing who you are right now.
Because one day, these photos won't just remind you what you looked like.
They'll remind you who you were.
And that's pretty cool.
I can't wait to celebrate this milestone with you.
